Masculinizing the Jawline – here’s how!

The “jawline” is increasingly becoming the focus of designated beauty trendsetters. While the jawline used to receive little attention, we now know what a key role it plays in making a face look harmonious and attractive. It has now even been scientifically proven that a defined jawline makes men look attractive to women. Now you’re probably asking yourself: can I change anything about my jawline? After all, we all have a certain head shape and corresponding jawline. The good news is that there are a number of ways in which you can define your jawline according to your own wishes. We present three options here.

Grow a beard

One advantage that men with pronounced facial hair have over women
women is that a beard easily shapes the face and jawline, and can be groomed into
almost any shape. This means that the parts of the jaw that you particularly
like can be emphasized and unloved areas concealed.
For example, a precise and defined shave of the neck and chin area can
chin area can emphasize the jawline, especially with three-day and goatee beards. In this case, the contour of the jawline is imitated when shaving and the blade is positioned above the Adam’s apple. If, on the other hand, you have a less prominent jawline, this can be reshaped with a full beard. In this case, the beard is worn slightly longer. The contour can also run below the effective jawline – and, if you have the beard growth for it, especially below the Adam’s apple.

Strength training for the jaw

If you prefer not to wear a beard but would like to have a more defined jawline, you can train it. Like everywhere else in the body, there are many important muscles in the jawline. One of them is the tongue. If you place it behind your teeth on the palate with your mouth closed, you train the facial muscles and change the position of the jaw. The exercise can be done either continuously or in two 15-second intervals. But be careful not to give up too quickly: The method requires some patience before visible results can be seen. The chewing muscle is also central to the jawline. This can also be trained in addition to everyday activities such as eating or chewing gum. One variation is the “jaw clench”, an exercise in which you open your mouth as wide as possible for ten seconds and then close it again (10-15 repetitions). If you prefer to train with tools, you can chew on a specially made plastic ball instead. So the next time you go to the gym, don’t forget your jawline exercises – not even on leg day!

Modeling

If a beard and exercises are not enough to achieve your desired result, there is also the option of “jawline contouring”. This involves injecting the jaw-chin line with hyaluronic acid, a natural component of the human body. This gives volume to the lower half of the face and helps to emphasize and straighten the contour. The method is particularly suitable for men who want to emphasize their jawline to appear more masculine. The procedure is also suitable for older people who want to counteract the so-called “sagging effect”, the age-related loss of elasticity and volume. In every case, the procedure should be performed by a qualified medical professional.
